Location- Remote- anywhere within the US

The salary range for this is the lowest $80,000.00 to $104,711.00 highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

**This job is also eligible for bonus pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

Provide account management and specialized account support to Sports and Entertainment team by uncovering new leads and servicing incoming leads through top tier Accounts. Active execution of the inquiry handling process, steps to conversion of proposals, quotations, and by cross checking product information between hotels for all brands within IHG Hotels & Resorts. Proactively grow and maximize revenue and profit opportunities in the Groups and Meetings segment and fulfilment of leads from developed assigned accounts both dedicated and managed.

  • Collaborates with Director of Sports & Entertainment, Key Account Directors to execute Groups & Meetings account strategies with assigned accounts focused on youth, collegiate and professional sports, film/TV production, Broadcast media and live entertainment.

  • Assists in working directly with Key Account client contacts and actively proposes and closes Groups & Meetings business and total account management opportunities where applicable

  • Develops new business opportunities within assigned territories and segment for group and meetings business and total account management opportunities

  • Strategically manages lead process, analysis of transaction reports and re-prospecting efforts

  • Fulfills and where possible exceeds customer expectations in the conversion of their enquiries into an IHG branded hotel with a focus on generating the best levels of revenue

  • Where first choice property may not be available, cross sell the customer to another IHG branded property, profiling hotel

  • Ensures accurate and timely capture of pertinent data into the required sales systems

  • Develops and delivers the relevant and appropriate documentation to the customer and hotel

  • Ensures the timely follow up and pursuit of business with customers and stakeholders in order to drive the highest levels of conversion

  • Ensures accurate and timely communication of the status and pertinent information of potential bookings to initiator and recipient hotel

  • Build, maintain, and foster relationships through direct customer contact with Key Stakeholders, clients, and properties

  • Attends client functions, FAM, tradeshow opportunities, and market visits.

Technical skills and Knowledge

  1. Demonstrated Sales Skills

  2. Demonstrated ability to determine what is required and take action and responsibility to deliver it. Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines and commitments, and complete tasks and projects as required.

  3. Must have established organization skills required to maintain electronic and paper filing systems

  4. Maintain a high level of knowledge pertaining to policy and procedure and communicate knowledge effectively to all personnel when applicable.

  5. Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written skills for the purpose of obtaining and conveying information to clients, technicians, management and team members as well as producing reports

Education

  1. Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience

  1. 2-4 years progressive work-related experience within Sports & Entertainment sales in an on property or above property hotel sales or similar environment, with demonstrated proficiency and understanding of one or more functions related to the position.
