Google Product Manager, Play Monetization Retailing in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving the product goal, defining go-to-market strategy, and leading design discussions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD.

  • Experience in product management in software/web technologies.

  • Experience in developing technical roadmaps and plans to implement solutions, and communicate roadmap to cross-functional stakeholders.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

  • Define the strategy, roadmap and execution plan to incorporate more retailing concepts into the Android user journeys.

  • Work with a cross-functional team to identify and launch new product experiences on Play and Android to amplify and optimize business generation content, including offers that drive business generation goals.

  • Collaborate closely with Play vertical and horizontal teams (e.g., Games, Apps, M10N, Core platform), Core Go-to-Market (GTM), Growth Marketing and Google Payments teams to produce Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) to identify and provide relevant business generation signals to optimize topline and bottomline metrics for Play.

  • Partner closely with the Retail Partner Activations, Regional Business Development, Growth Marketing and UXR teams. Create an inventory of business generation amplification features that would be valuable to payment partners and developers.
