The Position

Electromechanical engineer is an interdisciplinary role of Mechanical design with insight to Electrical and Electronic design and engineering. Focused on mechanical and electrical module integration and interconnection to build complex systems as well as on the development of modules itself. Our mission is to develop new scientific and industrial scanning electron microscopes! An electromechanical designer is member of platform development team collaborating with electronic engineers, system engineers and project teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Participation on development projects which leads to outstanding product - new electron microscope. In your role you will participate on development of technology solutions and create technical documents for collaborating vendors.

  • You will be in a contact with R&D engineers and turn results of electronics and physicist development into concrete parts, assemblies and products.

  • You will participate during assembly of prototypes and help with prototype testing.

Education and experience

  • The position is ideal for a student with background in mechanical engineering combined with good insight in electronics.

The candidate on this position possess the following combination of education and experience:

  • Studying a university degree with a focus on mechanics or electronics, or a combination of both ideally.

  • Knowledge of design principles, ability to read, write and define standardized technical product documentation.

  • Hands on experience with 3D CAD modeling software.

  • Good interpersonal skills are needed for both internal and external communication with colleagues from various departments.
