Responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Dental Practice in collaboration with Keystone Dental Care Dental Director. Implements the following disciplines of a general dental practice as established by the (ADA) American Dental Association: diagnosis; periodontics, i.e. prevention and treatment of gum disease; fixed and removable prosthodontics; endodontics, i.e. root canals; oral surgery; restorative and preventive dentistry, i.e. crowns; providing services from pediatric to geriatric. Collaborates with Dental Director when advice or second opinions are necessary for diagnosis and treatment. Performs the following job duties under the supervision of the Dental Director: Reviews patient records to determine dental status. Documents and performs patient's examination. Establishes a dental diagnosis for common short-term or chronic dental problems and develops an appropriate treatment plan. Orders, performs, and interprets x-ray results. Assesses dental limitations of patient/family and plans care to incorporate these needs. Provides referrals whenever appropriate. Requires Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Dental Medicine, or equivalent dental degree. License to practice dentistry in the State of Pennsylvania; Current DEA registration.
