Aston Carter Director Of Accounting in Clearwater, Florida

Description:

• Oversees the monthly close process including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and the income statement review.

• Create and maintain monthly reports to compare and analyze actual results with budgets, forecasts, and previous results

• Collaborate with various department leaders to identify cost savings and maximize profitability

• Work with department leaders to be a point of contact and resource to solve issues

• Assist with the integration of acquisitions.

• Implement and streamline ERP and Business Applications.

• Issues timely and complete financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Coordinates the preparation of external monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

• Assists the external auditors with the annual audit.

• Assists with coordination of income tax returns and provision requests.

• Evaluates the effectiveness of Accounting systems and supporting databases and troubleshoots/fixes system issues.

• Training and Supporting team members in the use of financial systems

• Strength in dealing with peer groups and senior executives

• Demonstrate competence in decision making

• Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure

• Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles

Additional:

Private equity or public company experience

Managed integrations of acquisitions

Someone comfortable working with other departments

Deadline driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment

They must be comfortable being in the office daily
