Overview of the Position:

Wencor Defense a division of HEICO is currently seeking a Military Accounts Director with experience cultivating a new business pipeline within the United States Armed forces and specifically with OEM’s and/or bases supporting the maintenance of military aircraft. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to directly contribute to the success of the US Military by providing aircraft parts and driving alternative sourcing and cost savings within the service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bring existing and cultivate new customer relationships across the Air Force to build client's brand awareness within the service, coordinated with our Defense operations teams, that result in organic and new business growth.

  • Conduct regular office calls with Air Force program management teams, as well as program-level and acquisition officials - with a priority focus on providing alternative solutions like SAR’s for Tankers, Fighters and Bombers.

  • Identify , qualify, and support the capture of new business within the Air Force.

  • Build and maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by consistently identifying and qualifying new opportunities.

  • Participate in Department of the Air Force industry events.

    Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • The ability to quickly build personal, in-depth knowledge of client's capabilities, technology, and business objectives.

  • Use knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and client engagements as well as influence future capability development efforts.

  • Military clearance preferred.

    Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, Finance, or Business field of study. Typically, 5+ years including direct Depot sales.

    Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
