Eaton Corporation Senior Engineer - Electromagnetics in Hadapsar, India

The primary responsibility of this role is to evaluate electromagnetics performance of products/subsystems/systems for various Eaton businesses (Vehicle, Aerospace and Electrical). Incumbent is expected to perform electromagnetics analysis of various Eaton products for predicting product performance. Incumbent is also required to partner with global & local teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs.The incumbent is expected to generate ideas aligned with the Business's Technology Roadmap and drive efforts to build and mature capabilities in the niche areas.

The primary functions for this position include:

• Collaborate with technology and product teams to define problem statements

• Understand project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders

• Participate in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Electromagnetics domain

• Develop simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy • Initiates ideas aligned with the Business's Technology Roadmap and drive efforts to build and mature simulation capabilities in the niche areas of Elecromagnetics through technical ownership of projects and drive\ing hyper-collaboration within Eaton's various technology teams to meet the goal

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of Magnetics, Electrostatics and electrical machines fundamentals with ability to perform hand calculations, results interpretation and test data correlation with simulation

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from reputed institute

  • 4-6 Years

  • Good communication skills, Effective collaboration with team members, Problem solving ability

Skills:

• Demostrated capability and thorough knowledge on the electromagnetics analyses areas; electromagnetics, electrostatics, EMI/EMC & multi-physics • Coordinate with stakeholders to develop electromagnetics analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products

• Interpret, summarize and communicate analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations

• Contribute in maturing analysis capability of Electromagnetics technology domain

• Develop test plans wherever necessary to verify simulation model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes • Drive the capability maturity of the electromagnetics team in the niche areas • Partner with the product and technology teams to drive the efforts aligned with their technology strategy and road map • Drive the digitalization efforts in the team to successfully meet the goal of 'zero lead time' through projects and/or BoC (Building Organizational Capability) initiatives • Lead and Mentor the team of Electromagtics on the technical areas to successfully drive the project to conclusion
