Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Knightdale, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the construction/contractor industry. Based in Knightdale, North Carolina, you will be working in a role that primarily involves data entry, detailed analysis of data, and use of Excel formulas.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input data into the company database, including product information, inventories, and other required details.

• Regularly update and maintain the company database, ensuring the integrity of the information.

• Conduct routine physical inventory counts, compare them to database records, and promptly resolve any discrepancies.

• Generate and prepare regular and ad-hoc inventory reports for management, assisting in informed business decision-making.

• Assist with other warehouse and administrative tasks as needed, including receiving and checking incoming stock, picking, packing, and shipping orders.

• Work towards improving inventory control processes.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Possess relevant experience in a customer service role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of Excel Formulas and their application in data analysis

• Ability to provide detailed analysis of data and present findings in a clear and concise manner

• Solid understanding of customer service principles and practices

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle difficult customers and resolve complaints effectively

• Familiarity with construction/contractor industry standards and regulations

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions when necessary

• High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Willingness to continually improve skills and stay updated with industry trends and best practices

• Must have legal right to work in the country of employment.
