Element Materials Technology Global Program Director, Strategic and Key Accounts in London, United Kingdom

Overview

The Global Program Director, Strategic and Key Accounts will assume overall accountability for the strategic and key accounts programs at Element in AMERICAS and EMEAA. This strategic role, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, will be responsible for the overall success and execution of the regional and global customers growth in the program. Leadership of the program to engage all SAM’s and KAM’s and ensure use of the tools, processes, and a strong operating rhythm. Building on the strengths of the team, leading through a matrix, and driving engagement to generate customer success, regional growth, and client retention.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure successful program execution.

  • Monitor and track portfolio progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise during business.

  • Support the development implementation of effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed about program status, risks, and changes.

  • Manage portfolio level budgets, financial resources, and expenditures, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.

  • Facilitate decision-making processes and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among team members or stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular account reviews and evaluations to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with senior management to align program goals and outcomes with overall organizational strategies.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for improved customer adoption, improvement, or innovation to drive organizational growth.

  • Preparation and presentation of Executive and Senior Leadership program reports.

  • Training, development and coaching of account managers.

Success Measures

  • Client Outcomes; effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders throughout the portfolio. Success will be measured by customer satisfaction, including sponsors, against agreed success factors.

  • Organizational Outcomes; build strong brand reputation within the regional portfolio through consistent delivery quality and reliability. Create a “one team” environment across all engaged delivery stakeholders that encourages and nurtures strong collaboration and accountability.

  • Financial Performance; Budgets, Forecasts, Margins adherence to target.

  • Risk and Issue Management; Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues within the regional portfolio and the broader business. Success is measured by the effectiveness of the risk management process and the ability to promptly address these, minimizing their impact on the portfolio.

  • Team Performance; contribute to the standards definition, and performance management, of all team members to agreed standards of professional delivery and governance.

  • Continuous Improvement; identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in the program.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Strategic account management leadership experience – 5+ years

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline is required.

  • 15+ years of experience in sales or sales program management is required.

  • Experience in a leadership or managerial role

  • Commercially focused, with a strong entrepreneurial attitude and customer centric mindset.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a growth mindset, and the ability to convert strategy into action.
