Description:
The Manager, Product Supply Chain, acts primarily as a liaison between manufacturing, quality, logistics and sales operations, focused on ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective flow of information to help all three areas to meet the supply chain demand with proper quantities and timing. This is accomplished through converting the sales forecast to a production forecast based on customer demand, safety supply needs, current finished goods inventory, bulk product produced, and WIP (work in progress), timing for each product and raw materials lead time. This position is also responsible for managing relationships and supply chain, as well as purchase orders with third party manufacturers and packagers.

Essential Functions:
Serves as a liaison between the Sales Department and the Production Department. Ensures production issues (API issues, capacities, position acceptance, etc.) are communicated to all levels as needed.
Monitors all backorder inventory releases to ensure immediate action, as needed.
Directs and coordinates supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
Works closely to manage the connection with the planning department to be sure Amneal is issuing the API and packaging batches correctly.
Partners with the Quality Control group to schedule COA release dates based on inventory levels and priorities.
Maintains a strong working relationship with the DEA Compliance team to ensure Amneal has enough quota for our current forecast and ensures the backorder report is processed and communicated weekly with release date and explanations where needed.
Manages the creation and maintenance of the Production forecast based off sales forecasts.
Oversees relationship with bulk Customers processes bulk customer orders when inventory is ready to ship and works with the warehouse in NY to get these shipments out.
Manages the Avkare relationship; maintains the AvKare forecast and works directly with them to ensure we get them product on time.
Education:
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Business, Supply Chain or other related degrees - Required
Experience:
5 years or more in Pharmaceutical / Inventory Control

Specialized Knowledge:
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel.
JD Edwards knowledge preferred.
