What you’ll do:

The incumbent will be responsible for Design, Develop, Implement, Manage manufacturing processes in Machine and assembly shop of Gears and Transmission manufacturing plant.

  • Develop and implement cost-effective, high-quality assembly manufacturing processes: This includes designing, documenting, maintaining, and troubleshooting assembly processes and equipment, ensuring quality production.

  • Plan, schedule, and lead process optimization projects: This involves project management, technical leadership, research, and continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Coordinate production activities and provide training: This entails collaboration with other teams, supervising personnel, and providing training for efficient operations.

  • Manage and improve process documentation: This includes maintaining accurate documentation in line with company standards and implementing changes for process improvement.

  • Review and approve tools, equipment, and layouts: This involves ensuring proper utilization of equipment, approving tool drawings, recommending new equipment purchases, and evaluating equipment performance.

  • Implement cost-out initiatives: This includes identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction in production, tooling, scrap reduction, and set-up times.

  • Support Quality and Maintenance: This involves implementing statistical process control (SPC) programs, maintaining established maintenance controls, and providing solutions for emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Production or Industrial)

  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Gears, Shafts and Assembly

  • Prior experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles (lean manufacturing, Six Sigma)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in technical writing and documentation.

  • Working knowledge of CAD, CAE, SPC, FMEA software’s
