Description

Amazon Grocery Logistics provides same day and next day grocery delivery service to the Kanto, Aichi, Hokkaido and Kansai regions of Japan, with future expansions planned nationwide. Our team is involved with both our Amazon owned grocery services (Amazon Fresh) as well as our Grocery Partnerships across Japan. We are seeking a motivated, last mile specialist experienced in last mile logistics to add to our team. This includes project management, medium and long term strategy, and new product launches.

Key job responsibilities

As a Delivery Program Manager, your responsibilities include owning delivery initiatives across Japan. To be successful in this role you will need to understand the differences and nuances of different delivery environments from downtown Tokyo to rural Hokkaido and everything in between.

· Innovate and create, as a leader for both Delivery you will work closely with our sustainability, packaging, quality, and operations teams to develop our business further and seek opportunities to further our commitment to customer obsession.

· Serve as the subject matter expert, providing support and advice to functional teams with respect to last mile practices

· Ability to work/communicate effectively with cross functional teams, in a multi-disciplinary, global environment; our team requires communication in both English and Japanese

· Engage with suppliers on social compliance initiatives to meet & deliver cross-functional success

· This person must also appreciate the legal, compliance, and financial context of their work and display appropriate sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience

• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree

• Japanese language required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, organizational development, instructional design or related field

• English language skills (written and oral)
