Key Accountabilities:

• Serve as the center of competence for all aspects of data center operations and installation standards.

• Act as the primary interface to the Client Account Teams, being the single point of contact for all technical activities.

• Provide 24/7 technical support to clients.

• Offer technical guidance and support for data center maintenance, operation, testing, and commissioning.

• Deliver innovative technical solutions to maintain long-term profitability, leveraging unique expertise for the Client and other critical environment and data center accounts.

• Ensure consistent development of critical services (people, plant, process, and vendors) across all locations and regions.

• Take accountability for services solutions, including upgrades and new requirements.

• Ensure compliance with the safe system of work and create a safe working environment through expert reviews.

• Improve maintenance and operations techniques to minimize invasive operations and reduce business risk.

• Review plant and system performance, identify solutions, and drive continuous improvement and benchmarking programs.

• Provide emergency support and response, conducting technical reviews of data center critical services teams.

• Offer technical services support to the Client Account.

• Conduct account reviews and audits of critical environments.

• Establish and agree on client service level agreements and standards for power and cooling load management and design to ensure compliance and business continuity.

• Support the development of data center risk assessments and asset management plans.

• Assist in developing an energy management program for critical environments operations.

• Implement appropriate change control processes, including method statement approval for data centers' business-critical areas.

• Support the development of technical teams to ensure a consistent approach and delivery, with the necessary skills to achieve zero impact on business operations and client continuity.

• Act as the main interface to the Client on technical innovation and continuous improvement of client critical data center operations.

• Foster a service team culture within the account.

• Ability to produce technical reports for internal and external clients.

• Provide technical support and consultancy for client projects, including design validation, commissioning, and testing.

• Conduct benchmark feasibilities and due diligence for data center equipment and building infrastructure fabric.

• Develop key relationships at a senior level within client organizations to drive commercial and reputational benefits.

• Establish an industry-recognized reputation for "World Class Data Center Operations" best practices.

• Provide support to commercial bids and scoping of critical services opportunities.

• Support client bids and strategic outsourcing through infrastructure and operational due diligence.

• Contribute to the Global Best Practices organization by providing input and reviewing critical environments solutions.

Personal Experience/Qualifications/Skills:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent.

• Chartered Engineer (desirable).

• Strong leadership skills.

• 7-10 years of experience in a senior role in critical services operations, design, testing, and commissioning.

• Experience in professional services.

• Knowledge and experience of data center commissioning and testing processes and procedures.

• Knowledge and experience of data center load and airflow management.

• Ability to work effectively in a diverse cultural portfolio.

• Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Flexible approach and a sense of teamwork.

• Advanced people and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Knowledge of redundancy levels and operational risk.

• Understanding of technical strategies within a critical facility environment.

• Familiarity with procedures and customer requirements in critical facilities.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical distribution system support and equipment function.

• Experience in leading operations and achieving business goals.

• Proficiency in using computers.

• Ability to manage through others without direct control.

• Extensive experience in machine room operations and knowledge of power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling systems, etc.
