Google Product Manager, Chrome Security in Washington, District Of Columbia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience in security, safety, or anti-abuse.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Chrome or the browser/web space in general.

  • Ability to meld quantitative data, qualitative insights, and product instincts.

  • Ability to articulate product vision and document both short-term plans and long-term strategy.

  • Proven track record for product delivery and ability to break down an ambiguous problem space into tangible short-term steps.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will drive product launches within the counter-abuse area of Chrome Security. You will focus on several initiatives including building features to protect users from phishing, malware, and social engineering, and making users feel safe by creating a strategy and executing against it. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining features, communicating with stakeholders, and managing the go-to-market.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Define and launch various security-related features in the areas of counter-abuse and safe browsing.

  • Take responsibility for the strategic planning, execution, and go-to-market success of cross-functional projects.

  • Collaborate with internal and cross-team stakeholders across Engineering, UX, UX Research, Marketing, Legal, and Public Relations.

  • Analyze usage metrics, user feedback, and UX research outcomes to look for areas of improvement in the form of new features, new controls, and new UI design.
